Empty Net (Scoring Chances #4)

empty_net_final (1)Spartanburg Spitfires’ goalie and captain Isaac Drake ended last season with an unexpected trip to the playoffs. He’s found a home and family with his coach and mentor, Misha Samarin, and he’s looking forward to making a serious run for the Kelly Cup. But things take an interesting turn when Isaac’s archnemesis, Laurent St. Savoy, is traded to the Spitfires. After Laurent’s despicable behavior in the playoffs last year, Isaac wants nothing to do with him – no matter how gorgeous he is. But that changes when Isaac discovers the reason for Laurent’s attitude.

Laurent St. Savoy grew up the only son of a legendary NHL goalie in a household rife with abuse, constantly treated like a disappointment on and off the ice.  When a desperate attempt to escape his father’s tyranny sends him to the Spitfires, the last thing Laurent wants is to make friends. But there’s something about Isaac Drake that he can’t resist, and Laurent has an opportunity to explore his sexuality for the first time, but he’s cracking under end-of-the season pressures. When facing the playoffs and a rivalry turned personal vendetta, Isaac’s not sure he’s enough to hold Laurent—or their relationship—together.

OMG, I just can not wait for this books release. I absolutely love, love, love your scoring chances series. Your writing just draws me right into the story and I dread the moments when I have to put the books down or finish them. Power Play had me smiling so much and left me with such a good feeling….and then I read the little excerpt for Empty net left me wanting more! I am so looking forward to this book!

    Hi.

Just read Let the Wrong Light In. It was recommended in a blog. I wasn’t really expecting much since I didn’t know the author. But I was wrong. I loved it so much that I finished it in one seating. I immediately searched for your other books and was disappointed since you only have a few written. BUT, ALL of them are good. Like real good. Bought all of them in one go. Love the series! Can’t wait for the next one. Laurent is already my favorite character right after Lane and Jared. Those two are one of my top cutest couple ever. =)

Can’t wait for your next novels.

One of your new and will be forever fan,
    Sig

    Hi Avon,
Im a massive m/m fan and have only discovered your wonderful stories a few months ago! Absolutely LOVE your writing!! My fav is Let The Wrong Light In…what an amazing read!!! You really took us on one hell of a journey with Avery amd Malin. Light hearted and funny one moment, deeply emotional and intense the next. I love how these guys are fumbling around working out just how to achieve their unique needs and how they get there in the end! Adore discovering Malin as the walls are slowly and cautiously taken down! Its the only novel i have ever read twice ie finished the last page and started it over again!
Very excited about your new release…i will be on a cruise with my BFF then, great chance to read it.
Thank you for the gift of your stories💕

I am a hockey fan (sorry avon, not a fan of the bruins. ;p) and I love to read your scoring chances series! Absolutely have no words to describe how amazing your writing is and I can’t wait for this new volume! I read the excerpt of empty net and I fell in love with it immediately. :)))))

Haha no worries, the reason I decided to be a Bruins fan in the first place is because everyone hated them!! And I’m so glad that you’re enjoying the stories, thank you so much for the kind words — and I hope you enjoy Empty Net!! <3!

Discovered your series because of a sale on Breakaway, grabbed that and the audio and have been devouring the series. Any idea when Empty Net will be out in audio? I love the different personalities in these books and can’t put Empty Net down. I’ve really loved the narrator as well. Although I don’t particularly follow hockey, I am from Massachusetts and had no idea everyone hates the Bruins! I always root for hometown so I’m use to everyone hating the Patriots for football and the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry is epic, but didn’t know about the Bruins! Lol!
