I’m excited to share that I just signed a contract with Dreamspinner for Power Play, the third book in my Scoring Chances series. Yay!
In this one, we move away from the beach and the Sea Storm to Spartanburg, South Carolina and the Spitfires (you’ll hear a bit about them in Riley and Ethan’s book). We also move from the guys on the bench to the two behind it, as the story focuses on the romance between the Spitfires’ new head coach, Misha Samarin, and his also newly-hired assistant coach, Max Ashford.
(Avon, stop giving your characters names that start with the letter “M” for the love of god 😐 )
Misha is a retired former Bruin who has his name on the Stanley Cup and a championship ring he’s never worn. Max, a former Hab, took a hit during a playoff game against the Bruins and suffered a freak accident that ended his promising NHL career for good. If you know my love of the Bruins/Hab rivalry, and also how much I love me some melodrama, you probably can put together who it was that hit Max during that playoff game. Now our former rivals have to work together to manage a misfit team with the worst record in the ECHL, captained by an angry, blue-haired goalie and managed by the sleaziest GM in the world. Fun times!
Power Play will be out in the spring or early summer, I suspect. Stay tuned for more updates!
